Eco Yoga Park is a non-profit organization, established in 1996, that offers a peaceful place to reconnect with nature. It is part of the non-profit organization called “Eco Yoga Villages“, seeking to preserve nature and natural lifestyles, that is present in 9 countries worldwide.
Eco Yoga Park is located just 60km from Buenos Aires in a beautiful area. It welcomes any eco-conscious people, vegan or curious about a vegetarian lifestyle and wishing to get back to a natural way of life.
I decided to stay a few days there as a volunteer in order to experiment life in a nearly self-sufficient and ecology-based community.
I had the opportunity to meet a group of very friendly people and, as volunteers, we had to work 4 to 5 hours per morning on sustainable activities in the park: organic gardening, eco building and cooking.
During the afternoon we were free to relax and enjoy the restful area or indulge in the pleasures of yoga lessons in an ashram, meditation, sound healing, movies watching or artistic activities.
This experience was a great opportunity to learn about another culture and life philosophy, permaculture, nutrition and vegetarian food. Picking up vegetables in the early morning gives you so much energy.
This privileged contact with nature is all the more exciting when you find the fruits and vegetables you cultivated in your plate afterwards.
You can also take part in helping educational programs for the children of the community or create artistic workshops.
For me, it was an unforgettable experience, I wish I could have stayed longer!
If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay a few days, a few weeks or a month in Argentina and if you want to get energetic benefits from nature while contributing to a community’s life, this is the place!
